I find the whole business practice predatory, and the fact that they say it's in the T&Cs and hide behind that fact is really disingenuous to their playing community.

What I find really disturbing is that I made the original PS+ purchase with a voucher code bought from a normal retail store, and Sony actually used old saved card details link to my account to make the renewal. I received another email saying they were escalating my query, but the follow-up to that that I've just received is that it's in the T&Cs and they will not refund the money. I replied that I had not received a single renewal heads up notification, it wasn't caught in a junk folder or anything either, and then re-iterated my point that I would have cancelled had I known. They also said that they provide a heads up email 14 days ahead of the renewal. I received a response saying (essentially) that the onus is on the player to cancel the subscription and that the 14 day refund policy only counts for the "intial" purchase - they do not count renewals, consented to or otherwise, as a separate purchase - and that they state this in the T&Cs, and so will not be refunding the $80. I emailed Sony saying that I didn't know that I was about to be charged and would have cancelled had I known because I have hardly played online in the last 6 months, and that I can't really afford it right now. I forgot/didn't realise I needed to cancel auto-renewal and didn't realise until I was auto-charged. I'm late to the party on this but a experiencing the same issue as OP and wanted to provide some info for people still experiencing the issue. Hey OP, how did you go in the end? Did they refund you?
